1. Acceptance & Scope

These Terms form a binding agreement between you ("Patient", "User", "you") and Medical International Specialist Centre LLC ("MISC", "the Clinic", "we", "us"), a DHA-licensed clinic operating at Umm Suqeim, Dubai. By browsing www.misc.ae, booking an appointment, or purchasing a package, you accept these Terms in full. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Website.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to book independently. Users under 18 may only use the Website and Services with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on the minor's behalf. A valid Emirates ID/passport and insurance card (where applicable) may be required at the Clinic for identification and claims processing.

3. Medical Information & No Emergency Use

Website content, including descriptions of conditions and treatments, is general information only and is not medical advice, diagnosis, or a substitute for consultation with a qualified physician. The Website and online booking are not for emergencies — call 998 or go to your nearest emergency department immediately if you need urgent care.

4. Appointments, Packages & Payment

Bookings are requests for a slot with the selected specialty, subject to availability. Health check-up and physiotherapy packages are described on their product pages with price, validity period, and inclusions, and are personal to the purchaser (non-transferable). Prices are in AED, inclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. MISC does not store your full card details. Insurance patients are responsible for verifying coverage and pre-authorisations; MISC is not liable for claim disputes between you and your insurer.

5. Cancellations, No-Shows & Refunds

Cancel or reschedule free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice, by phone, email, or WhatsApp.

Less than 24 hours' notice, or non-arrival within 15 minutes of the slot, may be treated as a no-show; prepaid consultation fees are non-refundable in that case, save for documented emergencies reviewed case-by-case.

Packages: cancellation within the statutory cooling-off period (Federal Decree-Law No. 14 of 2023), with no services used, qualifies for a full refund. After that, refunds are subject to the value of services already rendered plus a 15% administrative charge. Approved refunds are paid to the original payment method within 14 business days.

If MISC must cancel or reschedule (staff unavailability, force majeure, regulatory directive), you will be offered an alternative slot or a full refund of prepaid fees for that service.

6. Patient Rights & Responsibilities

In line with the DHA Patient Rights and Duties Charter, you are entitled to non-discriminatory care, clear information on diagnosis, treatment, risks and costs, informed consent, confidentiality, and access to your own medical records. In turn, you are responsible for providing accurate medical and personal information, attending on time or cancelling promptly, and meeting your financial obligations, including co-payments and non-covered charges.

7. Liability & Disclaimers

Medical treatment cannot guarantee specific outcomes; results vary by individual. To the extent permitted by UAE law, MISC's aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service or Package giving rise to it, and MISC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under Federal Law No. 4 of 2016 on Medical Liability. The Website is provided "as is"; MISC does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

8. Intellectual Property & Acceptable Use

All Website content — text, images, logos, and design — belongs to MISC or its licensors and is protected under UAE IP law. You may use the Website for personal, non-commercial purposes only, and may not copy, scrape, or redistribute its content, submit false information, or attempt to compromise its security.

9. Governing Law, Disputes & DHA Complaints

These Terms are governed by UAE federal law and the laws of Dubai. Disputes will first be raised in good-faith negotiation for 30 days, then referred to the competent courts of Dubai. Nothing here limits your right to file a complaint with the DHA (toll-free 800342) or seek other lawful recourse.

10. Amendments & Contact

MISC may update these Terms at any time; the current version with its "Last Updated" date will always be posted on the Website, and continued use after changes means you accept them.
